Tall Grama is a native perennial bunchgrass endemic strictly to the shallow limestone soils and rocky ridges of Central Texas. Featuring distinctive comb-like seed spikelets held horizontally on slender stems, it anchors thin hilltop topsoil against erosion and provides valuable seed forage for native sparrows and towhees.
