Spreading Sida (Prostrate Mallow) is a low-growing native perennial featuring small rounded leaves and solitary pale copper-orange flowers. Hugging sunny limestone ground and dry pasture openings, it acts as a tough groundcover and serves as an important larval host plant for Checkered-Skipper butterflies (Pyrgus species).
