Slender Greenthread is an airy native perennial boasting thin, threadlike stems topped by golden-yellow daisy flowers with reddish-brown centers. Historically, Native American tribes (including the Comanche and Apache) brewed its leaves and stems into a dark, flavorful herbal tea. Thriving in limestone glades, its open habit allows native bees easy access to its blooms.
