Helenium elegans
Pretty Sneezeweed is a sun-loving native annual featuring vibrant yellow ray petals framing prominent dark reddish-brown central cones. Historically, its dried leaves were ground into a medicinal snuff to induce sneezing and clear nasal passages. Flourishing in moist meadows and draw bottoms, it supplies abundant summer nectar for native bees and butterflies.
