Flathead Rabbit Tobacco (Bighead Evax) is a small native annual covered in dense, silvery-white woolly hairs that protect its tissue from intense ultraviolet radiation and moisture loss. Adapted to thin, sun-baked limestone soils, it produces compact flat-topped flower clusters embedded in woolly rosettes. It offers natural ground cover in open pastures and attracts micro-pollinators adapted to harsh prairie conditions.
