Chamaesaracha edwardsiana
Edwards Plateau Five-Eyes is an endemic native perennial strictly restricted to the rocky limestone slopes, canyon walls, and gravelly outcrops of Central Texas. Named for the five distinct olive-green spots centered inside its creamy, star-shaped flowers, it represents a rare botanical treasure of our regional ecosystem. Growing low to the gravelly ground, its flowers attract specialized native solitary bees while its prostrate habit stabilizes delicate hilltop topsoils against erosion.
